The story
Two and a half years of QR codes taught us the real problem
I'm David O'Keeffe, one of the people behind SeeGap. For two and a half years I worked with some of Ireland's biggest consumer brands, putting QR codes on packaging and running the activations behind them.
One thing became clear. The hard part was never the scan or the technology. It was getting the shopper to actually buy the product, and then proving that a real purchase had happened. Brands were spending to reach people, yet they could not tie that spend to a sale on the shelf.
Why we built SeeGap
There was a gap between the marketing that reaches a shopper outside the store and the purchase they make on the shelf. Brands could see the touchpoints, and they could see the sales, but nothing tied the two together. You might say we saw a gap. We liked that so much we named the company after it.
Receipt-verified cashback closes it. A brand drives a real, full-price purchase and gets proof it happened, from the marketing they already run. That proof arrives as verified buyer data and, where a brand wants it, as targeted in-store sales from the shoppers who matter most.
